Travel guide wins 'best travel site' award
19 March 2007
An online travel guide has won the award for best travel site at an awards ceremony from consumer magazine Australian NetGuide.
Totaltravel.com was recognised as the best travel website in 2006 at the poll, which looks to acknowledge the site which marries the best quality and quantity of travel information with ease of use, resources and consumer experience, with a focus on local as well as wider international travel.
Paul Fisher, global marketing manager at the firm, commented that it was exciting for the company to have performed so well in the consumer-nominated awards, Internet Travel News reports.
"It's fantastic to be recognised once again by Australian NetGuide, which is the country's top-selling internet magazine," he said.
Totaltravel.com was founded in April 2002 and offers a range of resources, from hotel booking to travel insurance user reviews, receiving funds through advertising, rather than commission.
Australian NetGuide aims to provide Australian computer users with jargon-free information to assist them with their everyday use of computers.
