South Africa set for Twenty20 World Cup
10 July 2007  Cricket fans still enjoying the memories of victory in this year's Cricket World Cup don't have long to wait for the next international tournament, as South Africa prepares to host the first ever Twenty20 World Cup.

Following its introduction in 2003, the single-innings game has garnered many fans - and Australia are among the favourites for the tournament, standing top of the International Power Rankings with 236 points.

The tournament runs from September 11th at venues in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, with Australia's competition in Group B including Zimbabwe and old rivals England.

If the boys make it through the group, they'll continue on to the Super Eights phase before reaching a semi-final and the final itself at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on September 24th.

Fans looking forward to picking up their travel insurance and heading to the tournament to cheer on their sporting icons in the flesh can take advantage of a number of package deals on offer from various companies.

South African travel firm 2 by 2 Holidays has recently launched a number of cricket tours to South Africa including accommodation, match tickets and transfers between stadiums.
