Info leaflets for tourists to Malaysia30 September 2006
Australians heading across the water next year, some with travel insurance, will be able to make use of brand new information leaflets aimed at tourists visiting Malaysia.The leaflets were launched by deputy minister of tourism Dato' Donald Lim as part of the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 campaign to promote tourism to the country.
A statement from Tourism Malaysia read: "These leaflets complement the current tourism literature used for promotions and offer quick guides to Malaysian destinations complete with maps and highlights of interesting places to visit.
"Due to their size and content, they do not occupy space and will not be an extra burden to travellers wishing to travel light."
Last year the Abduallah Ahmad Badawi, prime minister of Malaysia, noted that over 200,000 Australians had visited Malaysia in the previous year.
The prime minister saluted the strong ties between the countries and suggested a strengthening of these links.
