Aussies 'more discerning than Brits on coach holidays'23 August 2007
While over the other side of the world, coach travel may be seen as the archetypal cheap holiday aimed at pensioners, it has been reported Australians are a touch more discerning about their coach-based holidaysThe Courier Mail has interviewed Sean Taggart of Albatross Travel, based in Brisbane, who notes the popularity of the coach travel for Australians and their discriminating nature regarding these trips.
"Australians are more discerning," Mr Taggart told the paper.
"Australians are a lot more concise in what they want and a lot less tolerant if things are not going well, which is as it should be."
He added that the firm consequently provides a superior quality of service on its tour for Australians.
This year, Albatross is offering travellers a range of European and Canadian tours for Christmas and the New Year, with trips taking in festive markets on the trips especially designed for the Christmas period, with no early starts for travellers.
