Aussies head to Nashville for country music fest
17 May 2007
Country music fans may be interested in picking up their travel insurance and heading to Nashville to catch some performances by artists from back home among other stars at a country music festival.
Morgan Evans, Adam Harvey, Briana Lee, Travis Collins, Troy Kemp, Mark O'Shea, and Beccy Cole are among the performers that will be appearing at the festival following their success in Australia.
It is thought the festival will give them the opportunity to appeal to American audiences.
Morgan Evans and Travis Collins will perform at the CMA Global Artist Party on Monday, June 4th while Briana Lee, Troy Kemp and Mark O'Shea will appear at the AristoMedia Global Acoustic Afternoon on Tuesday, June 5th.
Jeff Walker, president of AristoMedia and chairman of the CMA global markets committee, said: "It is wonderful to have such representation from Australia.
"The diversity of talent that these artists represent reflect very positive growth for country music in that territory."
He added his assurances that the country-music fraternity in Nashville would do their bit to welcome the out-of-towners into the local country music scene.
The CMA music festival will be held in Nashville from June 7th-10th 2007, with both single and four-day passes available for the event.
